Patient Support Specialist -
NJ Late Shift Location:
Whippany, NJ Job Summary:
Join our team as a Patient Support Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in providing healthcare services and facilitating access to prescription medications for patients. You'll be the frontline of our client's copay assistance programs, delivering a high-quality, 'white glove' service experience from start to finish.
Job Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and outbound calls, addressing patients', physicians', and pharmacies' needs related to access to care and reimbursement. Ensure a positive patient experience, focusing on empathy and ease of use of the program, ultimately driving access to care and medication adherence. Escalate requests as needed, collaborating with Program Management, IT, and other Contact Center teams to resolve issues. Perform additional assignments as required. Assist other departments with administrative tasks such as mail sorting or claims processing as needed.
Skills Required:
Experience in a high-volume contact center environment or similar setting, preferably in healthcare or case management. Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and/or medical billing (preferred). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. High level of customer focus, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Adaptability to various situations and effective problem-solving skills. Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
