Job Description

We are a busy and compassionate OB/GYN practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to women at every stage of life. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Patient Service Representative to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients. Position Summary The Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while managing front-office operations. This role includes patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and supporting a positive patient experience in a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations Maintain accurate patient records and demographic information Answer and direct incoming phone calls Collect copayments and process patient payments Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including referrals and medical records requests Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred Knowledge of OB/GYN terminology and procedures is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan options Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment
Pay:
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
