!! We are a small, patient-centered medical office seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong medical billing knowledge and is comfortable working independently in a small office setting. Vision or ophthalmology billing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

Submit, review, and follow up on insurance claims. Post payments and adjustments accurately Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and reimbursement Maintain accurate, compliant billing and financial records Collaborate with office staff to ensure timely and accurate billing

Qualifications:

2+ years of medical billing experience (required) Solid knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers Experience billing commercial insurance and/or Medicare Familiarity with EHR and practice management systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a small office environment Professional written and verbal communication skills Preferred (Not required): Vision, ophthalmology, or optometry billing experience Experience with Medicare billing and claim appeals Prior experience in a small or solo medical practice

$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
