Patient Access Specialist- Hospital Registration

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations, including scheduling, documentation review, and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patient information, registration, insurance verification, bedside registration, obtain compliance forms. Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process. Review and verify patient documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain organized records of patient interactions and ensure data is accurately entered into electronic health record systems. Address patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing processes. Support office management tasks to enhance operational efficiency within the department. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting is required. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
