Patient Greeter - Patient Associate Experience Christus Health United States, Mexico, Santa Fe 455 Saint Michaels Drive (Show on map) May 12, 2026
Description Summary:
The Patient Experience Representative is responsible for ensuring that every person approaching the medical center is greeted, provides direction to desired location, including transporting (walking or wheelchair) individuals to area, and visitors are offered assistance as appropriate in order to feel accepted and welcome. Patient Experience Representative will be asked to screen patients/visitors/associates, enforce visitor/support person restrictions, perform service recovery, and assist during special events.Responsibilities:
Provides the highest quality customer service by greeting and effectively communicating with visitors and guests as they enter or exit the medical center, escorting them to appropriate area. In the event of infectious disease restrictions being in place acts as a screener. Answers questions and provides information as needed or requested. Assists with equipment, such as wheelchairs, at entrance and exit doors when necessary. Opens doors and assists the elderly and/or disabled. Contacts shuttle service, valet, or security for assistance when necessary. Resource to caregivers to escort patient/family to secondary location and/or exit within the hospital grounds. Responds to requests from co-workers or other departments in a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Rounds on public areas to assess for cleanliness, hazard, comforting and inviting atmosphere and takes charge in making sure it meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Monitors entrances and exits for potential security risks and takes appropriate action. Assists with registration at special events. Flexible in role to fill gift shop and information desk responsibilities as needed.Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Certification/Licenses:
BLS issued by American Heart Associate is preferred.Skills:
Hospitable and sensitive to needs and feelings of others Passion for making people feel welcome Comfortable talking to and greeting patients, associates, and visitors Ability to enforce challenging restrictions in time of infectious disease outbreaks.Experience:
One year experience working in customer service preferred.Work Schedule:
