About the
Role:
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, our clerical and administrative teams play an essential role in creating a positive and supportive experience for patients and families. As a Clinical Support Associate, you will help keep daily operations running smoothly while serving as a welcoming and reliable resource for patients, visitors, and care teams. In this role, you'll support both inpatient and outpatient areas through scheduling, communication, order processing, and general clerical coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, working in a team environment, and helping others in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The starting annual salary for this position is $47,695 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do:
Provide clerical and administrative support within assigned clinical areas Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner Answer phones, screen and route calls, and respond to routine questions Record and process physician orders accurately and confidentially Coordinate and maintain clinic and provider schedules Support patient check-in and co-pay collection processes Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth daily operations Maintain accurate records and documentation while following privacy and confidentiality standards Participate in team activities and contribute to a collaborative work environment
What You'll Bring:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a busy healthcare environment Comfort working with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary teams Basic clerical, scheduling, or administrative experience, preferably in healthcare Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn Experience with medical office processes, scheduling systems, or electronic health records is a plus

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. Medical Office Assistant Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
