  • 188855 Job Description Coordinates intra-department and intra-hospital transfers, ensuring continuity of all necessary communication between departments.
Job Responsibility 1.Assigns and facilitates patient bed assignments according to hospital patient aggregation. 2.Accepts phone calls from attending physician offices for direct admissions Reviews specific orders that may impact bed placement (i.e.: one-on-one constant observation, telemetry needs, pending lab specimens, admit orders for medicine teams). 3.Collects data for Zone alerts (admissions, discharges, bed demands/availability status of surge units, etc.). 4.Collates data from Teletracking to provide information needed for daily bed meeting template. 5.Escalates bed management problems to a registered nurse. 6.Obtains and records necessary information regarding expirations to ensure accuracy and timely preparation of death certificates. 7.Performs related duties as required.   • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
