Patient Access Advisor11:00 AM- 7PM Posted 03-Apr-2026 (EST) Patient Access 1500 North James Street, Rome, NY, USA 18.00-19.00 per hour Full Time Patient Access Advisor Make a difference at the front door of patient care. As a Patient Access Advisor, you'll be one of the first people our patients meet. You'll help ensure a smooth check-in experience by accurately registering patients, verifying insurance, and supporting access to care.

Schedule:

11:00 AM. - 7:00 PM. What You'll Do Register and check in patients for scheduled and walk-in services Explain forms, answer questions, and collect required signatures Verify insurance coverage and document prior authorizations Confirm physician orders and medical necessity per hospital policy Collect co-pays and other out-of-pocket expenses Maintain accurate, timely documentation in hospital systems What We're Looking For Experience in a healthcare setting (hospital, physician office, clinic) preferred, not required Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus Comfort using computers, keyboards, and office equipment Strong communication skills and professional phone etiquette Ability to manage detailed information accurately in a fast-paced environment High School Diploma or GED required
