Job Description

Glendale Nursing Home (Schenectady County) is hiring for a full time Patient Transportation Aide. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to start a career in a beautiful, home-like facility. This position involves the assistance of transporting residents and staff to and from a variety of locations. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of resident appointments and transportation.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Coordinates transportation for Nursing Home residents utilizing appropriate transportation services Assists with the scheduling of resident appointments as directed by Nursing Administration Coordinates staff transportation coverage with Nursing Administration Operates the Nursing Home/ County vehicle (Van, bus or car) carrying passengers to and from various places Acts as a courier delivering mail, lab specimens, and parcels as needed Provides general clerical support for the Nursing department Applicants should posses working knowledge of office terminology and equipment; professional phone and email etiquette; effective written and verbal communication; basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook Possession of a valid New York State driver's license at time of appointment, and maintenance of such license throughout employment.
