Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 37.5 Hours Per Week Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support within a busy outpatient setting. This role supports physicians and clinical staff by assisting with patient care coordination, office operations, scheduling, phlebotomy, and medical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, prior medical office experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining exceptional patient care standards. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians and clinical staff with daily patient care activities Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing Take and record patient vital signs and medical information Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile clinical environments Assist patients with rooming, transfers, and procedural preparation Manage patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) Process prescription refill requests and physician orders Handle medical records, referrals, lab reports, and documentation Monitor inventory and restock medical supplies as needed Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols Support surgery/procedure scheduling and pre-admission coordination Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant or Medical Office experience required Phlebotomy experience required Medical Assistant certification from an approved school required High School Diploma or GED required Strong EMR and MS Office Suite experience required Excellent communication and organizational skills required Ability to work effectively in multicultural healthcare environments required For more details reach at About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
