Join our Level 1 Trauma Center Main Campus Emergency Department!Primary Patient Population:
Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients Level 1 Trauma Center Primary skills utilized/learned: Assisting patients with all aspects of personal hygiene, eating & drinking Answering call lights & taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and other parameters as instructed). Performing/transmitting basic ECG and phlebotomy. Personnel PCNA will work with : RNs, LPNs, Nurse Interns, Paramedics, Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers.Number of beds on unit:
93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included) 10 Trauma Bays 80k+ patient visits annually Awards or Recognitions the unit has received: Level 1 Trauma Center Lantern Award Stroke Certified MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills. Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications:
Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE:
