First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Medication Assistance Counselor reports to the Network Financial Advocacy Manager and works with both inpatients and outpatients to obtain free or discounted pharmaceuticals from manufactures, patient assistance programs, or other sources. And performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Work Experienc Experience in healthcare setting or physician practice Required Skills Experience with Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work in self-directed manner to accomplish goals Ability to be a strong advocate for both patients and the hospital system
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of patient assistance and pharmaceuticals preferred Knowledge of oncology preferred Experience in finance, insurance, insurance appeals, and medical terminology preferred Experience with Epic preferred
