Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients, guiding them through the admissions process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help streamline patient intake, ensure compliance with health regulations, and support the overall efficiency of our skilled nursing facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on patient experiences while working in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Welcome and assist patients during the admissions process, providing clear guidance and answering questions with a friendly demeanor Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and identification documents Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems to accurately input and update patient data in compliance with privacy policies Ensure adherence to health regulation policies and confidentiality standards at all times Support medical administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and document preparation Plan, develop, organize and implement an individual external marketing strategy to achieve facility census goals Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources Requirements Prior experience in a medical setting is highly preferred, especially in roles involving patient intake or administrative support Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, privacy laws, and insurance procedures Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance as it relates to skilled nursing and long term care Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) management systems Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail when handling sensitive information Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers in a professional manner Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes is essential Office experience demonstrating proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, and document management Join us as an Admissions Coordinator to help create a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring operational excellence.
