We believe in emphasizing quality over quantity when it comes to our patients and employees. 30+ minute eye exams and scheduled hour-long frame pick-outs are the norm. In our opticals, we don't sell to patients; we educate them on their options and help them make informed decisions. As a patient services rep. , we can keep you busy and moving without feeling rushed and we make an honest effort to enjoy what we do while serving the community. The fun stuff? Participation-optional March Madness and baking competitions are yearly traditions and yes, winners do receive prizes ($$$). Did we mention our chocolate station yet? We have a space in our break area dedicated to having a variety of chocolates available to our employees at all times. Small Town Eye Care serves North Central Ohio with our main office located in Wellington and a satellite office in New London. Within the last year we added a 3rd Doctor and are expecting to add a 3rd location next year. We are community-focused in our care and relationships with our patients. Please read through the job responsibilities summery thoroughly and we are looking for employees with long-term career potential only.Detailed Summery of PSR Responsibilities:
Answer phones and schedule patients if needed. Greet and direct patients to examination rooms. Schedule patient appointments and make reminder calls. Inform patients about delays and waiting times. Obtain patients' addresses, contact details, insurance information, and medical histories. Update and verify patient information at every visit. Assist patients in filling out patient history forms, consent forms, and payment contract forms, when necessary. Receive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered. Answer, investigate, and/or direct patient inquiries or complaints to the appropriate staff member. Follow up with patients to ensure their inquiry or complaint has been satisfactorily resolved. Perform clerical duties, such as filing paperwork. Obtain patient prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. Perform administrative duties, such as managing prescriptions, customer records, and insurance. Dispense glasses and contacts as needed.
