In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clinical support within a medical environment, ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient clinic management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various medical disciplines while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Proactively schedule appointments Establishing care scheduling appointments Check Insurance Verification prior to patient appointment Facilitate scheduling for translators and sign language interpreter prior to patient appointment Triage patient concerns to a higher level of care as necessary Coordinate obtaining records from ED/hospital stay prior to patient appointment Upload faxes into electronic health record (EHR) and alerts provider when there is an urgent notice Records Request Responses Provide emotional support to patients as necessary Assist with meeting Patient Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) standards - task will be directly delegated Assist with completion of Policy and Procedure Manual Assist with billing and claims questions - coordinate with billing platform and call patients back to answer questions Update community resources and availability of specialty services in the community Preferred experience Prior experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic environment Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
