Job Summary:
As a Patient Services Representative (PSR), you are often the first point of contact for patients. Your professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail help remove barriers to care and ensure patients feel welcomed, respected, and supported from the moment they call or walk through our doors. Every appointment scheduled, every phone call answered, every patient guided through our system contributes directly to improved health outcomes.
Your work helps patients:
Access appointments when they need care most Understand available programs and services Connect to interpreter services and community resources through our on-site Community Health Workers Navigate insurance, Oregon Health Plan applications, and sliding fee scales You are a bridge between patients and providers. What You'll Do Greet patients and answer phones with professionalism and compassion Schedule appointments efficiently while balancing patient needs and provider schedules Complete accurate registration Provide check-out support, including follow-up scheduling and diagnostic coordination Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Work collaboratively with providers and front office team members to ensure smooth operations What You Bring Strong customer service and communication skills The ability to stay calm, organized, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment Experience with scheduling and patient registration (preferred) Familiarity with medical terminology and medical office software (preferred) A team-oriented mindset and commitment to multidisciplinary care Bilingual Spanish skills (preferred but not required) A passion for serving diverse patient populations
