Job Description

We are looking for a bright, energetic individual to join our team. The right individual would possess excellent customer service skills, motivation, and a positive demeanor with a strong attention to detail. This position can be part-time. However, Saturday availability is required. Previous experience in the field of Optometry is highly favored, but not required. Knowledge of and experience with electronic medical records is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Front Office Receptionist position responsibilities:
  • Answering and transferring calls on a multi-line phone system
  • Scheduling patient appointments in a multi-practitioner electronic scheduling system
  • Checking patients in/out for their appointments
  • Gathering HIPAA protected information
  • including but not limited to: demographics, insurance information, health history information, etc and updating electronic medical records accurately
  • Ordering and dispensing contact lens prescriptions per doctor orders
  • Working knowledge of insurance plans and verification of benefits
  • Ability to multi-task with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Works well under pressure in an often busy medical office environment
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times Optometric Technician responsibilities:
  • Performing pre-diagnostic testing including but not limited to: auto-refraction, auto-lensometry, IOP, retinal photography, and visual fields testing.
Pay:
$17.00
