  • Friday, based on clinic need Your role with us This medical office assistant plays a vital role in supporting patients by ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
By managing scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and communication with care and accuracy, you will be helping patients access the services they need with minimal stress or delay. Your attention to detail and compassionate service directly impact patient satisfaction, comfort, and trust in their overall care experience. What you'll do Greet and assist patients and visitors. Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals. Manage phone calls and messages professionally. Verify orders and register patients accurately. Handle no-shows and late arrivals. Verify insurance, collect payments, and obtain authorizations. Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Enter charges and manage work queues. Update scheduling templates as needed. Compile data for reporting and performance tracking. Order and maintain supplies efficiently. Required qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Or 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
Additional information Successful candidates will have exceptional computer skills, the ability to quickly master multiple computer programs, knowledge of business and office machines such as: fax, telephone, computer/printer, copier and reception skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to work in a very busy, multidisciplinary setting are vital. Good clerical skills, including typing (60 wpm) and excellent telephone etiquette with good organizational and record-keeping skills are important for success. Preference will be given to candidates with previous outpatient medical clinic front office experience and/or EPIC system experience.
