Job Description

The Eye Center of Central PA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients. This is a full-time position. It is preferred that candidates have experience in a professional/healthcare setting.
Duties include:
Greeting and checking-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment. Efficient and accurate verification and entry of patient information in various computer programs. Explanation of charges and insurance, and collection of patient payments. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and fulfilling the daily operations of the clinic setting. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Assist with medical scheduling and coordination of patient care. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. What we are looking for in a Team Member. Previous experience in patient service or medical administrative support preferred. Personable and patient focused professionals who enjoy face to face patient. Candidates who desire to learn how their role impacts other departments in the practice. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
