DAYLIGHT HOURS MONDAY
FRIDAY Job Summary:
Responsible to facilitate an efficient, clinically effective interface between the patient, the medical staff, and the health care team to ensure quality, customer focused preadmission testing processes. Through utilizing a working knowledge of clinical diagnosis, procedure/setting appropriateness and treatment, the Nurse Clinician will provide for patient assessment, testing, education, and the development of a plan of care. The nurse will ensure adequate testing and appropriate patient follow up through collaboration with the medical staff. In addition, Case Management policies and procedures and reference guides are applied to provide maximum reimbursement to the facility through appropriate insurance coverage, authorizations and referrals. The Preadmission Nurse Clinician functions as a liaison between all members of the health care team internally and externally to ensure coordination of quality patient care.Education Minimum:

Bachelor Degree inNursing Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Current PA RN license andHealthcare Provider CPR Experience Minimum:
Three years recent clinical experience.Preferred:
Perioperative and managed care, Case Management, and/or Utilization Review experience.Other Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and skills in customer service.Status:
