7695 Job Summary Intake Coordinator Join Our Client's Team as an Intake Coordinator! We're looking for an organized and customer-focused Intake Coordinator to manage inquiries from employees, providers, and clients regarding insurance pre-certifications, benefit verification, and other healthcare-related services for our client.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to calls and faxes, determine the reason for inquiries, and route them appropriately. Review faxes for clinical criteria, assist with pre-certifications, discharge planning, and case management. Advise on certification requirements and connect callers with the benefits department when needed. Accurately collect demographic and medical coding information (CPT, HCPS, Diagnosis Codes) and enter into the system. Make outbound calls for clinical information and discharge dates. Assist with voicemail transcription, case verification, and quality improvement tasks.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required. Medical office, insurance, and/or call center experience a plus! Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
