The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient intake process and maintaining excellent office operations. Prior experience in dental or medical offices, along with proficiency in electronic medical records, is highly valued. The Intake Coordinator will work closely with the Home care team to facilitate seamless patient experiences and support practice growth.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATE TO DRIVE TO CLIENTS HOUSE 3 TO 4 TIMES A WEEK.
Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and during phone interactions Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Enter and update patient information accurately within electronic medical records systems such as Epic and
HHAEXCHANGE.
Verify insurance details and assist with insurance pre-authorizations as needed Collect patient demographics, health history, and other relevant information during intake Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to appointments Maintain organized office files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient data Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and follow-up communications Support front desk operations by handling inquiries efficiently and providing excellent customer service Qualifications Prior experience as a intake coordinator medical office setting is preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or
HHAEXCHANGE
is highly desirable Knowledge of Home Care rules to accurately interpret patient information Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping Experience working with multi-line phone systems and managing front desk responsibilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor Office experience demonstrating ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing exceptional patient care.
