Job Description

The Patient Relations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering positive patient experiences by supporting the work of the Patient Relations department. This position addresses patient concerns, facilitating communication between patients and the healthcare team, and ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience for all patients and their families. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with sound judgment and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, communications, social work) preferred. M inimum of five years of experience in a healthcare setting, customer service, or patient relations role preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems is a plus.
