Duties Review and analyze outpatient clinical documentation to assign appropriate

ICD-10, CPT

(Current Procedural Terminology), and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes Ensure accurate coding for diagnoses, procedures, and services based on medical records and provider notes Collaborate with medical billing teams to facilitate timely and accurate claims submission Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance Conduct audits of medical records to verify coding accuracy and identify areas for process improvement Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR systems efficiently for data entry, coding, and documentation management Support medical collections processes by ensuring proper coding that reflects the services provided Experience Proven experience in outpatient medical coding within a primary care setting Strong understanding of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding systems, and DRG classifications Familiarity with medical billing procedures and medical collection practices Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems used in outpatient clinics or primary care offices. Our office uses eClinicalWorks. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records management Previous work involving medical coding audits or quality assurance is a plus Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to interpret complex clinical documentation
