Job Summary The Canton Health Center is an Ambulatory Care facility comprised of clinical services, dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. We are seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families and employees Responsibilities
- Provide check in, checkout and general clerical support for the Canton Health Center.
Additional responsibilities include:
appointment scheduling. Process all patient payments (co-pays and outstanding balances) including: confirmation of patient charges, collection of payments, balancing of receipts and the reconciliation of cash collections. Navigate electronic medical record, maintain business work queues, and in basket management. Verify and update patient information, obtain referrals and/or authorizations. Respond to inquiries concerning department programs, services and activities. Provide general information to staff and patients Required Qualifications- Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience Desired Qualifications
- Solid working knowledge of computers and navigating multiple computer applications Able to multi-task in a robust, fast paced environment Professional and Positive Interaction with Patients, Providers, and Staff Ability to work independently, identifying priorities while contributing as an active team member Basic Medical Terminology Existing MiChart or EHR experience Knowledge of UMHS policies and procedures Demonstrated record of excellent attendance.
