What You'll Do As an Emerald Home Care Care Companions, you'll support clients in their homes with day-to-day needs, companionship, and safety oversight.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting Providing light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation Running errands and assisting with shopping or transportation Providing medication reminders only (no administration) Supporting mobility, safe transfers, and range of motion exercises Observing, documenting, and reporting any changes in condition Ensuring a safe and clean home environment Participating in activities that bring clients joy puzzles, reading, walks, conversation, and games Maintaining professional boundaries and client confidentiality A Few Must-Haves High school diploma or equivalent Minimum six (6) months of caregiving or healthcare experience preferred Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Compassionate, professional, and dependable Good communicator with strong documentation skills Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist clients safely Must pass a background check and reference screening CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) Why Join Emerald Home Care Our Care Companion are the heart of what we do.
