Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is currently seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative in our Summerville, SC location. This position is expected to float to our Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations as needed.

The Position:
The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for handling all front desk duties for the practice. The Patient Service Representative must ensure that patients are the number one priority, whether over the phone or in person. They will greet every patient and guardian with a smile and accommodate their needs in a comfortable and pleasant manner to provide the best experience. This position is expected to float to our Mount Pleasant and West Ashley locations as needed. As a Patient Service Representative, typical duties might look like: Responsible for checking in patients upon arrival at the office, as well as obtains and updates necessary financial, personal, and or medical information. Ensures all information is entered accurately into the patients' chart. Ensures that patients receive a superior level of customer service by answering the telephone promptly, communicating in a courteous and friendly manner and addressing patients' needs and questions. Responsible for checking out patients upon completion of the appointment, schedules the follow- up appointment(s) as needed and provides patients with any necessary documents, including treatment plans, receipts, work excuse notes, or appointment reminder cards. Responsible for collecting copays and past due balances. Monitors the schedules regularly, adjusts the schedule as necessary and reschedules patients as needed. Responsible for sorting, filing, and scanning materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems and ability to key data into medical computer system accurately. Responsible for scheduling appointments based on the company's scheduling guidelines. Understands insurance benefits to effectively communicate to the patient. Maintains patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance and ensures any release of patient information is done in accordance with the company guidelines. Understands how to work effectively within the office, partnering with Managers, Doctor(s), and other staff to maintain consistency and integrity within the company. Appropriately triage and transfer phone calls to other areas and/or providers Travels between multiple offices as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. This job might be for you if possess the following: Associates degree with 2 years or any combination of education and work experience in a customer service-related role. Previous experience working in a medical/clinical setting. Previous multi-line phone system. Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within Microsoft Office Suite, or similar programs. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
