Patient Service Representative

Overview:

AFC of Tennessee is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team. We promote a fun and friendly work environment. The Patient Service Representative provides courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient record Answer incoming calls Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services offered Patient registration which includes verifying benefits, obtaining referrals, and authorizations Assist with medical records management Collects patient responsibility at the time of service Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area Ensures proper forms are completed by the patient Anticipates patients concerns and answers questions politely and effectively

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a clinic, dental office, or medical office setting is preferred but not required Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail Knowledge of administrative procedures and basic medical terminology High School Diploma or Equivalent eClinicalWorks experience is preferred but not required
