APPOINTMENT LINE CLERK

HOURS:

Full-Time Position The Appointment Line Clerk will be responsible for assisting the public with appointment scheduling and by providing switchboard duties for the organization.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Schedules appointments as required by each physician's practice. Answers telephone, takes messages, and e-mails for physician and nurses as needed. Assists registration staff when needed. Provides general information to the public. Performs switchboard duties which includes connecting calls, messages, and paging as needed. Represents a caring, friendly and professional attitude to the patient/family or public that he/she has contact with. Performs such other duties and tasks given by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate from High School or equivalent. Prefer two (2) year degree to include a medical terminology course.

Experience:

Will provide on-the-job-training, however prefer previous medical office experience.
