Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines clinical expertise with exceptional patient service, ensuring smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care. You will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providing administrative support and assisting with clinical procedures across outpatient and inpatient settings, including specialized areas such as dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and geriatrics. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate efficient check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Collect and document vital signs, medical history, and medication information accurately while ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as specimen collection, X-ray procedures, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) during emergencies Support intake procedures by reviewing patient symptoms, updating medical records, and explaining treatment plans clearly Perform routine clinical duties including taking vital signs, ICD coding for diagnoses, and understanding anatomy and physiology to support accurate documentation Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in outpatient clinics or hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU units Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring positive patient experiences across diverse specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or medical-surgical units Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program with current certification required Prior experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics preferred; experience in dermatology or geriatrics is a plus Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as intake processing and vital signs recording Ability to work effectively in inpatient settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers; experience with X-ray procedures is advantageous Knowledge of hospital experience including ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) environments is desirable Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital trauma are beneficial Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care in diverse healthcare settings Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding healthcare services. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
