We are a modern private general dentistry practice looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to be the face of our office. Key Responsibilities As our Patient Care Coordinator, you are the heartbeat of the practice.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
The Patient Experience:
Warmly greeting patients, managing a smooth check-in/check-out process, and maintaining an upbeat, welcoming reception area.
Schedule Optimization:
Managing a productive, efficient daily schedule for both doctors and hygienists using Open Dental.
Insurance & Billing:
Verifying PPO and Medicaid insurance benefits, submitting pre-authorizing treatments, and tracking outstanding claims.
Treatment Presentation:
Presenting treatment plans to patients, clearly explaining their insurance breakdowns, and helping them find flexible payment options.
Communication:
Answering multi-line phone calls, managing the practice text/email system, and handling patient recall/reactivation campaigns.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working the front desk of a dental practice is highly preferred (general dentistry experience is a major plus).
Software:
Proficiency with dental software (such as [Dentrix / Open Dental / Eaglesoft]) is required.
Skills:
Strong understanding of dental terminology, ADA codes, and PPO insurance breakdown procedures.
Bilingual Preferred:
Conversational or fluent Spanish/English bilingual skills are highly preferred for our diverse Garland patient base and will be compensated accordingly.
