Welcome to TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital, a leading surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and service-oriented environment, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Insurance Verification Clerk to join our team. As an Insurance Verification Clerk, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth office operations. Insurance Verification Clerk at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital The Insurance Verification Clerk is responsible for validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system. Duties may also include communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED Previous billing experience preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Verifying insurance coverage of each patient Handling payments for services not covered by insurance Explaining coverages to patients Obtaining referrals for patients when they are not covered Updating patient information/keeping records Filling out documentation required for billing
