Job Description
Job Summary Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center
- Irving, the Director Outpatient Services is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating outpatient operations and programs for one or more service lines at Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH), which may include cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopedic, radiology, respiratory, or other service lines in BSWH hospitals, heart hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory care facilities.

- Two Women's Imaging Clinics
- Wound Clinic with Hyperbaric
- Sleep Center Essential Functions
- Directs service line operations, including all programs and accreditation activities.
- Develops and maintains interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships necessary to provide cohesiveness and administrative direction throughout complex service lines, which may include collaboration with operational leadership in marketing, IR, OR, bedside nursing, SCS, Contracting/Sourcing, Finance, HTPN, Administration, LEAN, IP, Med Staff, Foundation, CBRE, ED, Aramark and/or other partners.
- Communicates with physicians and physician leaders frequently and effectively to cultivate partnerships and strategic alliances.
- Leads and facilitates strategic planning sessions for subspecialties, ensuring the engagement and involvement of multiple leaders and stakeholders at both facility and system level.
- Directs strategic change projects and initiatives to ensure effective planning, implementation, engagement, and measurement.
- Leads and manages teams that provide a broad range of services, which may include analytics, business intelligence, revenue cycle, quality management, clinical specialties and subspecialties, and operations.
- Blends operational and financial knowledge to develop improvement plans across numerous and varied operating units, applying effective problem-solving expertise, and continuously promoting a culture of process improvement to execute plans.
- Establishes and improves organizational metrics, dashboards, and reports that provide for improved decision-making, as well as the identification and development of new opportunities.
- Leads business development activities related to growth and oversight of clinical programs. Incorporates national guidelines into programs and works directly with physicians of multiple specialties and advanced practitioners. Key Success Factors
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in service line specialty, or relevant healthcare experience.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical environments and experience collaborating across large, multi
- hospital healthcare organizations.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into implementation plans and mobilize teams. Minimum Requirements
