$12/hr to $14/hr Position Summary Seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide exceptional customer service while facilitating patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information is collected and maintained while supporting the hospital's compliance and revenue cycle objectives. Key Responsibilities Register and schedule patients accurately and efficiently. Obtain and verify patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and secure required authorizations. Calculate and collect patient financial responsibility, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and prior balances. Enter and maintain accurate patient account information in hospital systems. Explain registration forms, consent forms, and financial policies to patients. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, insurance companies, and third-party payers. Ensure compliance with federal regulations, Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards, and hospital policies. Resolve patient account issues and provide financial counseling as needed. Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Any Specific Mandate skill required Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (proof required at submission). Previous experience in Patient Access, Patient Registration, Medical Reception, Healthcare Administration, or Revenue Cycle preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Basic computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills. HL01
