The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality service. This role requires knowledge of medical terminology, patient care, and various medical specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, and internal medicine. Responsibilities Greet patients and manage the check-in process to ensure a welcoming environment. Perform intake procedures, including collecting patient information and verifying insurance details. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the clinic's calendar effectively. Document patient interactions in EHR systems accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records. Measure and record vital signs as part of routine patient assessments. Provide basic life support when necessary and assist with medication administration under supervision. Support clinical staff in various tasks related to patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office space, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Assist with coding for ICD billing purposes as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with exposure to hospital medicine or urgent care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management. Experience in handling patients across various specialties such as dermatology, geriatrics, emergency medicine, or internal medicine is a plus. Ability to perform basic life support procedures and understand medication administration protocols. Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient service and support within a team environment. Experience working in trauma centers (Level I or II) or other specialized clinics is advantageous.
