What You Will do in this
Role:
Know and adhere to the policies of the Hospital. Greet public, see to public needs, restock lobby coffee, and serve as message center for employees and surgeons of the hospital. Obtain insurance forms, copies of insurance cards, patient signatures, and collect deposits to cover pre-op patients' portion of financial responsibility. Assemble patients' charts the evening prior to surgery. Enter patient information into computer. Responsible for making sure all patient data on the computer is complete and accurate. Coordinate work schedule of part-time Patient Representative and provides technical oversight of part-time activities. Receive, screen and route incoming calls in a professional manner by the third ring. Seek involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior and promotes and assists employees in the same. Inform Business Office Manager of applicable day-to-day situations. Follow employee health and other personnel and staffing policies.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Must be a High School graduate or have a GED. Minimum of (1) one years' experience in Patient Registration, Customer Service in a Healthcare setting, and Office related experience, Your shift: Full Time including rotating holidays Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
