Job Description

Job Overview The primary responsibility is to enroll and withdraw all students and maintain documentation of student progress towards graduation. The registrar will directly communicate with the principal to relay enrollment information on a daily and/or weekly basis. Additionally, a registrar is responsible for maintaining all student records and permanent files, generating and maintaining graduation plans in WebSmart, writing and maintaining schedules for all new students, processing withdrawals, class changes, waiting lists, verifying graduates, requesting diploma signatures from the administrative office, and assisting the principal as needed. The Registrar is responsible for keeping the student population at its capacity by keeping an accurate account of the number of current enrolled students. When there is a vacancy, refer to the waiting list and fill the vacancy. Answer phones. Maintain the enrollment package. Enter all students' information into WebSmart and maintain the students' files. Procure transcripts and student records from their previous school. Maintain students' grade history, current schedules and grades. Maintain students' grad plan, assign necessary courses, keep current records of
TAKS/STAAR
scores and verify graduates. Perform class session and room changes. Refer to PRS, CP, SPED, ESL, and other programs when necessary. Enter accurate information regarding leaver codes and assist with dropout recovery Print Progress Reports out of WebSmart on the second Thursday of every month. Withdraw students and maintain their file after the withdrawal. Have knowledge of the Student Accounting Handbook. Have Knowledge of the high school graduation requirements. Enter data in a timely manner with detail oriented skills. Follow all district policies and assist in the implementation of these policies. Participate in professional growth activities and training and be prepared to share acquired knowledge and skills with the administrative staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions and multiple priorities. District-wide and occasional state-wide travel. Prolonged use of computer. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and possibly lifting 60+ pounds. Finger and hand dexterity. 2026-2027 SCHOOL
