SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Manager in Member Service duties. Supervises shift operations and productivity. Assures appropriate staffing needs and training on a daily basis. Oversees the daily functions for CareLink Member Services Department. Ensures that CareLink members and potential members are processed accurately and timely. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient records. Provides excellent customer services and adheres to the standards and behaviors of University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. One year of college study or the completion of a recognized clerical vocational training program with medical terminology is preferred. Must have two years experience in a hospital admitting or business office or three years experience in CareLink. Billing knowledge is preferred. Employee must have knowledge with contract benefits and negotiation of out-of network benefits. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Designated cash handlers must successfully complete the Patient Services Cashier course and be designated as a Patient Services Cashier during the initial probationary period. 903 W.
