Candidate MUST be willing to travel to both locations in Riverton and West Valley.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will be confident, self-motivated and above all else compassionate, with the ability to manage a high volume of scheduling tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring patients are scheduled accurately and efficiently for imaging services, while also serving as a professional and welcoming point of contact. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with providers, clinical staff, and patients are essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent customer service, communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills Proficient typing and computer/keyboarding skills Ability to manage complex scheduling workflows and prioritize urgent requests Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging procedures preferred Familiarity with insurance requirements, referrals, and prior authorizations preferred Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)
Essential Functions and Duties:
Schedule a variety of imaging procedures in accordance with provider orders and established protocols Coordinate appointments by obtaining and verifying referrals, prior authorizations, and required documentation Review orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring appropriate imaging is scheduled Communicate with patients to provide clear instructions regarding imaging preparation, arrival times, and expectations Optimize imaging schedules to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality patient care Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and clinical staff to resolve scheduling issues or questions Answer incoming calls and respond to scheduling inquiries in a timely and professional manner Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information to support accurate billing Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED
Previous experience in medical scheduling, radiology/imaging coordination, or healthcare office setting preferred Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations strongly preferred Customer service experience
