What You'll Be Doing:
Here at BridgePoint, the Hospital Admissions Coordinator oversees the patient admissions function, bed assignment, and completion of preliminary paperwork for entering patients. The Hospital Admissions Coordinator works in tandem with medical, nursing, and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement. The Hospital Admissions Coordinator collects, reviews, and inputs clinical patient data into a computer processing system. The Hospital Admissions Coordinator completes admissions contracts with patient or responsible party and explains hospital policies and procedures where appropriate.
Requirements:
Education:
Associate's degree; or equivalent experience;
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Business or Healthcare related field.
Licenses/Certification:
None required.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience in the field, Possess strong knowledge of hospital registration guidelines, including, but not limited to, compliance, consent, and overall operations. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize multiple projects and activities. Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner. Possess the ability to work in a team environment.
