Patient Service Specialist (Front Desk)

• On-Site | Physical Therapy Clinic We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Patient Service Specialist to join a busy physical therapy clinic.

This is a front desk, patient-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing excellent service. Position Overview As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting day-to-day front office operations. You will balance patient interactions, administrative tasks, and phone support while working closely with physicians and clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes Perform patient registration and maintain accurate records Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups Answer and manage incoming phone calls, assisting patients with questions or requests Verify insurance information and assist with patient account needs Document patient information and provider notes in the EMR system Provide exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative needs

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles Experience in a medical or healthcare environment Strong communication and multitasking skills Comfortable working with computers and data entry systems

Preferred:

Experience with patient registration and insurance verification Familiarity with EMR systems Knowledge of medical terminology Experience handling inbound calls in a fast-paced setting Work Environment & Schedule On-site role in a busy physical therapy clinic Work closely with physicians and clinical staff Independent front desk role supporting multiple providers

Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate:

$19.00 per hour
