In this role, you will be the vital bridge that reduces barriers to healthcare for local students, families, and school staff. What You Will Do (Job Duties)
Patient Advocacy:
Help families navigate, enroll, and troubleshoot Medicaid, FAMIS, and commercial insurance plans.
Clinic Operations:
Manage student registration, intake, consents, and accurate data entry into our electronic health record system.
Billing Coordination:
Work closely with our internal billing team to resolve claim denials and eligibility discrepancies.
Collaboration:
Partner with school personnel, families, and our staff to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Compliance:
Maintain absolute confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (Required). Strong communication skills and a passion for helping underserved communities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
Healthcare administration (billing, insurance verification, medical records), Medicaid/FAMIS enrollment, eClinicalWorks (EHR), or prior work in an FQHC/school clinic setting. Physical Demands Light work (lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally). Regular standing, walking, and close visual acuity for computer work. Ready to connect your career to a purpose? From $16.00 per hour
