DAY TO DAY AS A PATIENT ACCESS SERVICES SPECIALIST

As a Patient Access Services Specialist at Gastroenterology Associates of Central VA, you will start your day at 8am, ready to greet patients with professionalism and warmth. Your daily responsibilities will include checking in patients for their office appointments by verifying insurance, and efficiently processing patient information to ensure a smooth intake process. You will also handle inquiries, providing essential information and addressing concerns in a customer-centric manner. Throughout the day, expect to collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate seamless communication and support patient needs. You'll be tasked with maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations, and utilizing our electronic health record system. Your work will be essential in creating a positive environment for patients and contributing to a high-performance team. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in healthcare.
