We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Intake Coordinator with experience in behavioral health to lead our intake process. This individual will be responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments, gathering diagnostic information, and accurately entering client data into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The ideal candidate must have strong clinical insight, experience with diagnoses and documentation, and a deep understanding of patient-centered care within an outpatient treatment setting. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for new clients, identifying presenting issues, substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs. Accurately enter client information into the EMR system (experience with KIPU or similar platforms preferred). Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely and seamless admission to appropriate services. Maintain all client documentation in compliance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations. Schedule intake appointments and follow up as needed to ensure completion of documentation. Communicate with clients, families, and referral sources in a professional, compassionate manner. Ensure accurate documentation of clinical and administrative information, including ICD-10 diagnostic coding. Support ongoing quality assurance by reviewing intake files for completeness and accuracy.
Qualifications Minimum credential:
QMHP, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting. Solid knowledge of DSM-5, diagnostic criteria, and substance use screening tools. Familiarity with KIPU or other behavioral health EMR platforms. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive clinical information. Proficiency in clerical and administrative duties related to intake, including scheduling and data entry.
