Job Description

Cornwall Medical Center, home to Mt. Shuksan Family Medicine and Dermatology, Advanced Sports Chiropractic and Massage, and Align Chiropractic and Massage. We're a busy, privately-owned clinic in the heart of Bellingham, WA., offering primary care, chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture services. As the first point of contact for our patients and their loved ones, the Patient Services Representative serves as the face of the clinic. Our front office team plays a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and genuine courtesy at every touchpoint. In this role, you will help cultivate a warm and welcoming environment while delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong communication skills will make a meaningful, lasting impact on the care we provide.
Hours:
15-20 per week
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete patient registration and eligibility verification accurately and in a timely manner Review patient paperwork to ensure accuracy Inform patients of their co-pay and deductible responsibility Check patients in and out of their appointments and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments Contribute as a key player on a high‐performing team Answer and return phone calls Email communication Liase with
Medical Assistants and Nurse Practitioners Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Superior customer service skills, modeling patience, composure, and cooperation Efficient use of time, with meticulous attention to quality, detail, accuracy, and completion Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, coordinate work activities, and exercise initiative Creativity and resourcefulness in addressing problems and opportunities, and tenacity to see things through to completion Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective Demonstrate a learning attitude toward solving problems, using good reasoning and judgment Ability to adapt to change, delays, or unexpected events while maintaining a positive mindset Education/Experience High School diploma required 1-2 years front office, medical reception, or direct customer service experience (preferred)
