Director of Student Systems and Registrar Salary:
$91,268 - $102,676
Classification:
Administrative/Exempt Reports to: Associate Vice President of Student Services This position will have a priority consideration to those who apply prior to May 7th, 2026. The Director of Student Systems & Registrar leads the strategic optimization and integration of student information systems to improve how services are delivered across Student Services. This position focuses on enhancing system functionality, streamlining processes, and strengthening data use to support student success, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across the institution. Provide strategic leadership for the optimization, integration, and governance of ctcLink and related student systems across Student Affairs functional areas (Financial Aid, Registration & Records, Student Accounts, Advising, Running Start, CiHS, Military and Veteran Programs, and Admissions) with a primary focus on Student Services. Develop and execute a division-wide strategy to improve functionality, integration, and user experience. Serve as the Student Services subject matter expert and primary division liaison with SBCTC and system user groups. Evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate system enhancement requests aligned with division goals. Lead cross-functional process analysis and redesign to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance the student experience across Student Affairs. Map end-to-end student service workflows across departments to identify gaps and inefficiencies. Facilitate process improvement initiatives and workshops with division stakeholders. Oversee the development and integrity of cross-functional reporting, dashboards, and data standards to support decision-making within Student Affairs. Ensure data consistency and alignment across student systems and departments. Lead change management efforts to support successful implementation, adoption, and utilization of systems and process improvements within Student Affairs. Coordinate system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities. Partner with division stakeholders to ensure alignment of systems, processes, and data with regulatory requirements and institutional priorities. Provide leadership and oversight for policies and compliance related to student records and enrollment processes, ensuring alignment between regulatory requirements and system functionality. Develop, interpret, and maintain policies and procedures related to student records, registration, transfer credit, residency, and data management. Directly supervise transcript evaluators and enrollment data analysts. Provide leadership and oversight for transcript evaluation, data integrity, and reporting functions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree At least 7 years of relevant work experience At least (3) years in student information systems, registrar operations or records management Knowledge of FERPA and additional federal and state regulations impacting student records, registration and enrollment Demonstrated ability navigating education systems Demonstrated experience in data management and reporting Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Self-starter with high degree of motivation, energy, flexibility, and integrity Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while being attentive to details Demonstrated experience with working effectively with persons from diverse backgrounds, such a racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, and with diverse physical and learning disabilities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service skills Familiarity and proficiency with various technologies, including but not limited to student database systems, customer relationship management software and student success technologies Preferred Qualifications Experience in Peoplesoft campus solutions, ctcLink and enrollment management Experience using Customer Relations Management Software Additional Information Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered. This is a full -time exempt position scheduled to work Monday through Friday. The salary for this position is $91,268 - $102,676• annually, which includes a generous benefits package that includes the following.
