INTAKE COORDINATOR
Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County | Silverdale, WA (Onsite) Reports to:
Mediation Supervisor Schedule:
32-40 hours per week | Some evenings and occasional weekends required
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience $20-$25.

Non-Exempt About Us The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County is dedicated to strengthening relationships, families, and communities through mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution training. We are committed to transforming the way people resolve disputes — and we're looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional to help us do it. Position Overview The Intake Coordinator is a vital member of the DRC team, serving as the first point of contact for clients navigating what is often a stressful and emotionally charged experience. This role bridges client outreach and case management — gathering critical information, assessing client needs, and laying the groundwork for safe and effective mediation. Key Responsibilities Conduct client intakes via phone and in person, including conflict assessments to ensure appropriate and safe mediation set-up Provide clear and empathetic information to clients, case managers, and mediators regarding processes and case status Manage referrals, case documentation, deadlines, invoicing, and payment collection Schedule and coordinate mediation sessions Maintain accurate records using case management software Perform general office duties as assigned What We're Looking For Education Bachelor's degree in a related field required (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Communications, Conflict Resolution, Human Services, or a closely related discipline) OR equivalent experience. Required Experience & Skills Strong customer service background with experience supporting individuals in high-stress or emotionally sensitive situations Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a confident and professional phone presence Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort learning new technology platforms Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Successful completion of a basic 40-hour mediation training (may be completed after hire per DRC policy) Preferred Experience with video conferencing tools and case management software Background in human services, social work, or a related field Spanish language fluency Experience working with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds Why Join DRC?
