As our Front Desk Scheduler, you aren't just checking people in, you are the reassuring voice and welcoming face that sets the tone for their entire medical journey. We offer a supportive team culture, competitive market pay, and a true work-life balance with no weekends or nights. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
Patient Coordinator:
Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming patient phone calls, routing inquiries, and managing the clinic's daily flow.
Strategic Scheduling:
Efficiently book, reschedule, and coordinate complex appointments for new and returning patients using our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Intake & Verification:
Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify demographics, update insurance details (Medicare, commercial, etc.), and collect co-pays.
Care Team Collaboration:
Work closely with our nephrologists, medical assistants, and billing team to minimize wait times and ensure a seamless patient experience.
Compliance & Admin:
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance while handling medical records requests, scanning documents, and updating digital charts. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
Experience:
1-2+ years of medical reception, scheduling, or front-desk experience in a healthcare setting (specialty clinic experience is a major plus).
Tech Savvy:
Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) and standard Microsoft Office suites.
Insurance Fluency:
Solid understanding of medical terminology, prior authorizations, and standard insurance verification processes.
Soft Skills:
High emotional intelligence, a calm demeanor under pressure, and excellent communication skills. Our patients are often dealing with serious chronic conditions, so empathy is non-negotiable .
