Maintains highest level of quality care in accordance with state and federal rules and regulations and accrediting body standards. Serves as an expert resource for the agency, providing leadership and guidance to the Clinical Manager(s) overseeing the multidisciplinary teams providing direct patient care. Provides the leadership to develop, direct, and implement performance improvement initiatives consisting of organization and business process design, information systems, intake, scheduling, clinical services, marketing, public relations, and finance. Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and directing patient care services in accordance with federal and state regulations, accrediting bodies, and recognized standards of care. Maintains staffing levels as needed to provide patient care to meet changing demands in patient acuity and admission volumes. Guarantees schedules provide proper coverage for patient care needs. Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality. Directs and supports Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, including evaluation, planning, and implementation. Assists in preparing and meeting financial targets set by the Agency's annual budget. Contributes to the ongoing budget management and gathering of financial data in conjunction with the Executive Director. Aids in the Agency's goal of retaining quality staff by appropriately hiring, orienting, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff, including contract staff, within established policy. Assists in the development and implementation of orientation and ongoing training programs provided for Agency staff. Assists in establishing criteria for the admission and discharge of patients. Is readily available during operating hours. Maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payer requirements for home health reimbursement. Possesses understanding of applicable state and federal regulations as applicable to home health and communicates updates to staff. Works closely and communicates with Executive Director to ensure highest quality of care to patients, efficient operations, business development, and financial stewardship. Communicates and coordinates with physician's offices, payers, patients/families, outpatient services and inpatient coordinators, community resources, and agencies. Promotes home health services and coordinates care across the continuum. Maintains up-to-date clinical knowledge of methods, products, trends, research, etc., and communicates this information to staff. Working with Executive Director, supports and facilitates implementation of existing or changes to Agency's policies, regulations, process, or procedures. Consults with VSO (Vancouver Service Office) and internal/external stakeholders as needed when developing solutions or addressing issues. Working with Executive Director, sets strategic and operational goals for branch. Assists in gathering data and developing and implementing action plans to respond to trends in metrics. Acts as an alternate in the Executive Director/Administrator's absence as directed. Other duties as assigned. Implements policies and procedures; goals and objectives; and standards of care relevant to patient services and staff functions. Requirements:
Licensed physician, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, or registered nurse. Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Nursing from an accredited program and current license from the State Board of Nursing; or Therapist with a degree from an accredited program and current license from the corresponding therapy board. Three (3) years nursing/therapy experience. Experience in community health, home health, or hospice services in the past five (5) years preferred At least one (1) year supervisory and administrative experience.Shift:
