Full-time benefits Description PeaceHealth is seeking an Imaging Coordinator - Grant for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $23.74 - $35.62. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary Responsible for assisting physicians, physician assistants and nurses in the scheduling of imaging procedures and/or other procedures and tests for patients. Will perform duties of Patient Access Rep as needed. Essential Functions Supports patients and families in understanding the course for imaging procedure and testing. Completes the scheduling process by coordinating patient, imaging department, and radiologists, managed care, physician offices and pre-procedure testing needs. This includes communicating with various hospital departments as needed. Ensures the process is completed for patient in a timely manner ahead of procedure/exam date. Serves a resource for centralized scheduling/referral teams. Schedules imaging procedures/exams as required, including protocol review by radiologists and/or imaging techs and/or modality and/or nursing and anesthesia services. Provide patient information and instructions when scheduling procedures/exams. Arranges cases to assure maximum effectiveness of radiologists and modality schedules. Coordinates with PFS to inform patient of financial responsibility, including prior authorization of procedures. Perform duties of a Patient Access Rep as needed. Assists and backs up support areas as needed/applicable (i.e. financial counseling for patient insurance coverage pre-authorization). May be responsible for reviewing electronic chart transcription to support the goals of helping lower risk management situations, allowing procedures to be scheduled in a timely manner and to provide cases to be managed in the computer programs designed to prevent missed appointments, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education High School Diploma Preferred:
or equivalent and medical terminology Experience Minimum of 3 years
Required:
Experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting or progressive secretarial experience in healthcare and
Preferred:
Previous imaging experience in an ambulatory care setting or acute care setting and
Preferred:
Experience in EPIC Skills Self-motivated and able to work independently (Required) Courteous, professional, customer service and mission-oriented attitude (Required) Proficient typing skills (Required) Advanced computer knowledge, i.e. - Microsoft Office applications. (Required) Experience with scheduling programs (Preferred) Working Conditions Lifting Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work. Environmental Conditions Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some time spent on site in medical/hospital setting. Mental/Visual Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
